Christoffer Black

Overview

Christoffer Black is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ Tokyo office and a member of the Financial Services and Financial Officers practices.

Experience

Christoffer has more than 20 years of experience in leadership search and assessment, working in Europe and Asia. His expertise spans banking, traditional and alternative asset management, private equity, and real assets. 

Christoffer recruits CFOs and other senior leaders for publicly listed, private equity, and family-owned companies and has also placed non-executive directors on various boards, focusing on diversity. Previously he was the regional managing partner of the Corporate Officers Practice in APAC and the Middle East and led the Financial Officers Practice in the region. 

Prior to rejoining Heidrick & Struggles, Christoffer was a consultant with another leading global search firm based in Copenhagen. Before that, he spent nearly nine years with Heidrick & Struggles, initially in London and later relocating to Tokyo. 

Christoffer began his career with The Bank of New York and, early in his career, worked in Brussels, Paris, and London.
